We have migrated to windows 7 and have noticed that the background colour in Sims .net has changed from pale blue to white.

Users have started to complain about struggling to pick out various data fields and eye strain after a short period of time.

Capita support says this is by design for Windows 7. Just wondered if anyone else had come across this or found a work around.

They are right, it is designed like that. I've not had much experience with SIMS on 7 so I'm not aware of a 'fix'.

I'll be watching with interest.

Looks like we have found a compromise.

On desktop, right click and personalize (as per creese's post).

Then towards the bottom of the screen where it shows your selected theme items, click window colour, then advanced appearance settings.

On the item drop down list select 3d objects, Click on colour 1 and then play around with the custom colour palette for a while, applying and checking back in Sims .net.

You may also have to change Inactive title bar to the same custom colour. Happy mixing :ranger:

Just wanted to add, finding this after a quick google search was incredibly amusing as we're having exactly the same situation as the original poster.

I'm guessing Capita may add further customisation functionality in a future update.

Personally i don't see anything wrong with having a white background instead of the pale blue.
