Smart lamp replace - burning smell

Hello. Just replaced a Smart UNIFI 45 lamp. Excess dust was blown away as doing so, but during operation following the replacement there's a slight burning smell. Am I right in thinking this is normal and will go away once the excess dust is burned out / blown out by the fans?

Have you guys had this?

I expect the smell will stop eventually but the lamp glass could have been weakened already. not much you can do other than shifting the dust first. I understand it can be difficult to avoid contact with dust or any other crap.
