[sims] SOLVED: SIMS on Portable device

Hi,

Quick Question: I was asked today by the PE department about a better way of registering classes.

I did initially think about some form of PDA / Handheld device that will fit in the pocket. We are using SIMS and I just wondered if a hand held device could run such an application.

 

Maybe and App for the IPhone

 

Any suggestions, or input would be fantastic.

If you have SLG then you have much more functionality using this with a good mobile phone.

My WP7 is absolutely superb with SLG!

You can do advanced processes like completing a Report Card and recording Ach/Beh Incidents directly from the Class Register screens - just as you can directly from SIMS!

Schools should really evaluate the best option for them!

(And before somebody 'jumps' on me - I have suggested Emerge to our school as one of the alternatives!)

bromcom webfolder has a sims direct version which works on mobiles. all our teachers have been given an ipod touch and do their registers via the wireless!
