I think this shows how little they understand, especially considering all of the studies that have taken place. Do they not understand we are constantly bombarded by natural electromagnetic fields, most from that big ball of fire in the sky?

You have to take into acount that the Council of Europe is not an offical EU body, but rather a 'think tank' type of organisation, and like most think tanks take a certain, shall we say, 'opposed' view of certain subjects and political areas.

Edited to add: The comments below the artical provide a much more balanced view.

Ah but you have to remember that WiFi and technology in general causes cancer, global warming and civil unrest... BURN THE WITCH, READY THE DUNKING STOOL. Oh sorry, just getting a bit ahead of myself, this is just another pack of luddites lusting after the dark ages and trying to drag everyone else down with them. The trick is to keep enough people sane enough and informed enough that this nonsence does not take hold to any real degree.

It amazes me that people are still flapping about this, even though reports are again and again showing there is no evidence of health risks. IIRC, the last time this nonsense was trotted out, the score was 100+ saying it was safe or no-evidence of danger, and 3 saying possible evidence but nothing conclusive...

I'll continue to advise my school the same as I have so far - there's no evidence of danger to health, so we should use wifi and avoid having to install hundreds of network sockets all over the place.

That page is filtered here, but as the title discusses phones, and we're talking about Wifi, how about the section on wifi on that site where 3/4 of the studies have no positive or negative findings...

Also, there is a risk of death from being in a car, bus or coach. Or a risk of illness when we go swimming. Or a risk of illness from the food we eat (I've seen studies showing that too much tomato ketchup causes cancer, for example...).

The existence of risk is not a reason to stop doing something.

For the sake of the binary digit!!!!! The "Council of Europe" are just a bunch of moaners with nothing better to do than find things to moan about. They are absoloutly NOTHING to do with the EU and they are absoloutly not "European Leaders" as the Telegraph typically wrongly reports. They have about as much clout as one of my farts.

I would happily ban wireless in my school if I could, managing 650+ laptops is hard work at times...... even with 'state of the art' managed wireless & network enabled laptop storage trolleys.

I hasten to add this is nothing to do with radiation fears.....
