Little-Miss Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Last post i can see was from this time last year. Anyone care to share their feelings for them now? Whats the bluetooth connection like?
plexer Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 ninjabeaver has some but he's a bit busy with his little one atm, I'll point him at this thread to look at when he can. Ben 1
Little-Miss Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 Wow is it only Ninja Beaver who's used them? lol
ninjabeaver Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Hiya, Yep, I'm now a proud dad of a little boy. Paternity leave is great though. ENO Boards are still my board of choice. I found SMART expensive and prone to student damage and very expensive to repair / replace. Promethean where the same, but a little cheaper to fix. I've had no experience with the Hitachi boards though. ENO Boards are built with the vitro enamel covering over a sheet metal surface. Literally rock solid. You can take a hammer to them and they still work, and that's the clever part with the pen. Micro camera on board that reads the microdots on the boards surface. The pens are about £99 each, but I've had no issues with the Bluetooth using the latest software. You don't need the ENO Bluetooth dongles either, any seem to work. Also dead easy to install as the board needs no power or cables to it, cheaper than the other boards and the board is guaranteed for 10 years to clean up good as new. Can use dry wipe pens on them as well withough staining. I'm rolling out more of these soon. I'm planning to try them with the Sankore 3.1 opensource whiteboard software when I get back into work. Anymore questions then please just add to the bottom or PM me. Cheers, Simon.
Little-Miss Posted March 4, 2011 Author Report Posted March 4, 2011 That's great Simon thanks! I had never heard of them until i had a company in to do us a quote for our AV upgrade. I thought they sounded perfect as staff do moan about having nowhere to write normally. The bluetooth made me a bit nervous, so no interference or issues? Congrats on your little boy as well!!!
ninjabeaver Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Thanks for the congrats. I've not encountered any issues with the Bluetooth at all. I personally love the ENO Boards and find that they are compatible with all the software as well as far as I have tested. 1
bodminman Posted March 5, 2011 Report Posted March 5, 2011 Just read this. We've started using Eno too and they've been great. We started to have issues with Smartboards that were getting expensive to sort so we got looking at alternatives. PS: Congrats Ninja! 1
Techead Posted April 1, 2011 Report Posted April 1, 2011 You could get your supplier to get one in for a demo with one of the smaller boards. Polyvision is supporting a great offer on the boards Over the next few months. To my knowledge there are no reported issues with Bluetooth.
