tomazzotta Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 Students log onto workstations around the school, on different types of machines all with the same Windows 7 Enterprise image Most of the time the Students can get to there Home drive.. but some times when they try access there home drive it comes up with an error weve done a few fixes shutting PC completely down and switching back on logging on as local admin and doing a network ID but not sure if it actually fixed the problem... has anyone been experiencing the same problem? Thanks
tommej Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 We also get this issue alot, disabling the sync center seems to solve it straight away, although i'm not sure why :\
tomazzotta Posted December 10, 2010 Author Report Posted December 10, 2010 Brilliant thanks this seems to work! did you disable the sync center via GP - or did you go round manually and disable this on each machine?
tommej Posted December 10, 2010 Report Posted December 10, 2010 We've just been doing it manually as kids have problems, we did briefly try to do this with GPO but I don't think it applied properly. Need to look into it.
tomazzotta Posted December 10, 2010 Author Report Posted December 10, 2010 Thanks for your help! I have applied this via GPO and seems to have worked - Computer Configuration - Policies - Administrative Template - Network/Offiline Files - Allow or Disallow use of the Offline Files feature - Disabled Hopefully we have no more Home Drive problems
