lickydog Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 Got a process (Windows Audio Device Graph Isolation) in Win 7 that creeps up memory allocation and can cause audio to stutter - it's audiodg.exe and seems to be related to DSP regarding 'Audio enhancements' Just one to watch out for e.g. with iTunes etc.: http://technicallyeasy.net/2009/03/fix-audiodgexe-high-cpu-usage/ Just a thought if anyone is imaging machines... Looks like a hangover from Vista...
ZeroHour Posted October 29, 2010 Report Posted October 29, 2010 That smells more of a sound card driver issue rather then windows at fault. Glad disabling fixes it but I would hope the sound card driver would be fixed at some point.
lickydog Posted October 29, 2010 Author Report Posted October 29, 2010 It certainly does sound like a driver issue - everything looks tickety boo wrt drivers, but fingers crossed for an updated one. Audio glitching, audioDG to hit 25% CPU ...having a play with exclusivity and default rates as per the poor chaps in the above link...
