jcollings Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Kent are pretty good at eSafety stuff. We've used some of their material before (with permission of course) Kent Trust Web - Kent County Council - ICT
elsiegee40 Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Kent are very good. PM me your email address and I'll email you some stuff. 15 mins isn't enough though. Half an hour will be needed, ideally an hour. Edited April 28, 2010 by elsiegee40
enjay Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 CEOPS and ThinkUKnow are worth a look. As elsiegee40 says though 15 minutes isn't very much - just about enough time to give basic chat room discipline, what you do/don't write on public web sites (remember everyone can see your MySpace page) and to talk about locking down Facebook (recent privacy changes mean that the default setting gives "everyone" access to some bits, and "friends of friends" can see a lot too). It may be that is all the school want you to talk about, though...
Flange Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 15m is much too short. Register with thinkuknow.co.uk and download some of the videos such as Jigsaw and Consequences - these make effective tools with which you can bracket your safety message. The vids come packaged with safety advice and how to use them correctly. Kent is a very good source of material, especially their blog. Becta also have a mailing list called Safetynet which produces good material and CEOP participate there. I normally deliver a staff session over about 45m, which includes the clips above (for primaries).
