Scorpio Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Hi all We are currently supporting a school with a smartboard, The board connects to the pc via a COM to USB adaptor model number: usb-001-00 The machine has been rebuilt and we cannot find the drivers for the adaptor, can anyone point me in the right direction as the original smartboard software cd doesnt have these on, and tried the drivers download from the website, but everyime we boot up the machine it asks for the driver for this adapter. Thanks in advance. Scorps
jack0w Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 Point the find new hardware wizard to 'C:\Program Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Drivers\PNP Drivers' and it should find the correct driver in that folder! Hope this helps. 1

jack0w Posted April 28, 2010 Posted April 28, 2010 (edited) Glad to see you found them the appropriate drivers in the end, quite why they're not installed as part of the installation process is beyond me! Edited April 28, 2010 by jack0w
aerospacemango Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Right ive found them here for anyone else who needs to know: C:\Program Files\SMART Technologies\SMART Product Drivers\Firmware\USBAdapter Cheers At the risk of re-igniting a dead thread.... Thanks @Scorpio for this...... Saved my life this afternoon when in a new school and they wanted to know why the board was not working.
Oaktech Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Holy NecroThread... I'd just like to say that not all the drivers are in that folder, sometimes you need others. what you are looking for is the prolific ser2pl driver which can be found via a google search or on my onedrive... https://1drv.ms/f/s!AnkeacnDNvVsggVtlbtu8yWiIu2k
