srochford Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 has anyone used one of these? CablesToGo TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit (81657) - dabs.com You plug a wireless sender into a USB port on the PC, wireless receiver into the monitor and you can display whatever on the screen without a lead to connect the two. Looking for a way to connect a computer to a display screen without having to run wires. This looks good but it's £110 so it's a chunk of money to spend if it's no good; hoping someone else has spent the money successfully already :-)
pritchardavid Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I just put this in for a order yesturday, so will let you know, if this works, we may make all our projectors wireless this way
FN-GM Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I wonder how they will cope if you have a few of these in one area? I wonder if they would interfere with each other.
plexer Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 I guess like all usb video cards they will be no good at playing dvds/full picture video. Ben
neon Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 ive put one of these in our new art block works very well! no complaints at all, 5 min install and is easy enough for the art teacher to use, also benifical when other teachers are in the room and have the software on the laptops as they can just take the usb stick out of the comp and plug in, no nasty trunking on ceiling and signal 4.2ghz fast enough to stream video without lag... hope this helps. we bought ours from these guys http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=363695&CatId=1699 similar price after edu discount. 1
