Three things shout out to me about this.

  • They are a switched on schools that is intent on the students learning the skills to learn most effectively

  • They have staff that understand this and produce resources that make this possible

  • This has not been a short process and is not just done by the ICT department but has involved major school changes.

There are hundreds of possible barriers to the above happening ... and we just have to be careful we are not seen as a barrier rather than people trying to make sure that what they want to do actually works, is safe to do so and is sustainable. (anyone can throw hundreds of thousands of pounds at a problem for kit or staff to create resources but what do you do in 3-4 years time when teh kit fails and the curriculum changes so you need to write everything again!)

I also prefer the original version of this (circa 2006 from TED IIRC)
