I think I ahve the same problem with one of mine in the cupboard. I never did find a solution. All the guides seemed to point to a slightly different model.

I'm pretty sure last time I got locked out of one of our Toshibas there was one of the several CMOS reset utilities on the slightly iffy "Hiren's Boot CD" (google it) that successfully managed to nuke it.. Don't have one handy ATM to set the password then test it on but trial and error worked for me.

Ended up returning some of ours to Toshiba as there is a known fault where the BIOS sets its own password. Something like that anyway. I couldn't find a way to reset the password myself.
