Can you lot recommend a Laptop to me for around £450-£500.

I want recommendations from ones you have purchased already and feedback form support issues. A 3yr warranty would be good let me know your purchases,.

Dell small business section of the website - you can buy from there, no one checks. we bought 50 laptops and the official limit is 5!

Check out the Vostro 1000, if you time it right you can get free delivery, normally £50 ex.Vat per unit. Also they come in flavours with 2GB RAM and a dedicated graphics memory. We picked some up recently for £350 ex.Vat, so with the extra money you can buy the 3 year warranty and make the screen the glassy shiny type.

We have started getting Toshiba Satellite's from Misco. Tosh. do a special 3 year warranty for education for around £30. So far, they have been fine and they come with XP Pro which is vital for us at present.

Do Toshiba supply each of their distributors with different model numbers? There seem to be thousands of them. I'm looking for a sub £450 laptop with a dual core processor and as much disk as possible.

I've found this on Ebuyer:

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/131088

HP AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2 GHz (Dual Core)

2GB ram

160gb hard drive.

With Windows XP Professional: £459 - £100 cash back = £359.

You can also get the same machine with Vista Business for £10 less (you can always install XP pro using downgrade rights).

Only probs is a 1yr warranty, but at that price I really don't care. I'd also prefer a 9 cell battery and 7200rmp rather than 6 cell and 5400.

I was going to order 3 of these for staff tomorrow - so if anyone knows a reason why not let me know ASAP. Thanks!
