A knowledge of computers enables you to communicate with washing machines, the hoover, an old VCR machine or a DVD recorder.</p><p> </p><p> Sadly that’s not I how roll. I played with computers when I was young. My career drifted along until I joined the IT department. I stayed there because I got on with my line manager, he offered to train me up. I enjoyed the work, I enjoyed the pay rise more. I developed a passion for the work, in my spare time I read up and enjoyed discovering new knowledge. The people I worked with were good teachers.</p><p> </p><p> To certain family member s and friends this has made me a valuable resource on all things electrical. Today I got an email with this in it – <a href="http://direct.tesco.com/q/N.1999792/Nr.99.aspx" rel="external nofollow">Apple Ipod Nano for children</a> – which one would you recommend? Well on the basis of my IT experience I DON’T HAVE A SCOOBY DOO! That is the local vernacular for I don’t have a clue. I have a beat up MP3 player that after an accident in the gym is now held together by sellotape. I have not changed the music on it for over 15 months now. It is full of the classics, in my honest opinion.</p><p> </p><p> Sorry about the flippant superficial moaning first post. Slightly better than ‘Hello World!’ I hope. I am in the middle of a project that due to another team is now dangerously close to collapsing.
