SheLaunch.exe, the Cuddly Client Shell for Windows 9x

SheLaunch.exe is a simple program to assist in converting
Windows 95/98 or ME client machines into a form of thin client. For
some reason this type of setup has been given the name of Cuddly
Client round here!

The program replaces the Windows shell (normally explorer.exe)
with SheLaunch.exe. When run, the program displays a column of up to 5
buttons in the centre of the screen. These buttons may be individually
configured to launch applications or close the machine down. Any
application button may be configured to launch automatically at
startup.

As supplied, the system will display 2 buttons, one of which will launch
a Citrix connection to a Custom ICA Connection called "Desktop". The
other will shut the machine down. All configuration is done using the
file SheLaunch.ini. A sample file (SheLaunch.sam) is also supplied with
explanations and examples of all the .ini file settings.

To use the loader, drop all files into c:\windows on any Win9x machine.
Start program neighborhood and create a custom ICA connection called "Desktop"
connecting to a published desktop on your Citrix farm. Set the screen size
to "Full Screen", not Seamless. If you use a seamless window your users will
receive an annoying Citrix warning message every time they login.

Now open c:\windows\system.ini and change the shell=explorer.exe line to read
shell=c:\windows\SheLaunch.exe. When you reboot the machine should
automatically connect to a Citrix desktop instead of the standard Windows desktop.

Features:
-It's completely free!
-It's used completely at your own risk!
-Up to 5 on-screen buttons, each with configurable caption and function
-Buttons disable themselves for a configurable time after clicking, to
  allow Citrix session to start
-Any button can autorun at startup
-Alt+Tab between multiple desktops or sessions if you want to
-Buttons may be used to launch any app, Citrix or local

SheLaunch.exe is only available from http://TheThin.net, but queries should
be directed to angus.macdonald@nww-tr.wales.nhs.uk. No level of support is
guaranteed but I'll do my best to help if I can.
