Note: This utility is not developed by, supported by, supplied by or in any way connected with Capita Education Services or Capita Group (or subsidiaries thereof).
Purpose
This photo exporter has been designed to allow photos to be exported from within the SIMS SQL database either for Staff or Students. Photos can be exported in a variety of filename formats (including "<Forename> <Surname>", "<Surname> <Forename>", and "<Admission Number>" for students) and image formats (including Tiff, Jpeg, Bmp and Icon). Additionally, photos can be exported in hierarchical directories (students only) or into a single directory. Conflicting filenames will just be overwritten!
Note that this version does not "brand" photos with the text "Exported from SIMS .Net" as previous versions did. By using this utility, you automatically accept that you have the photographers permission to use the photos for your own purpose(s).
Use
Do not copy this utility into the SIMS .net directory. It should be extracted and used in a separate directory with all files in the compressed archive. Note that this utility uses the connect.ini within the SIMS .net directory, specified in sims.ini.
Use of the program is simple - start the utility and follow the on screen instructions within the wizard. You will need a SIMS Username and Password, and full system access to view student details.
