New editor based on CKEditor
This has a whole host of benefits as well as working on much more browsers, a snippet of things to look for:
- Resizeable editor! you can now drag the editor using the bottom right to expand you text entry area! the system should save the size for further use too!
- Tables support! you can now insert tables into your posts
- Complete, intuitive “What You See is What You Get” content editing capability for “WebKit” browsers.
- Paste from Word! You can now paste Word documents into the vBulletin editor; the CKEditor will try to preserve as much of Word text formatting as possible.
- High Performance and Accessibility. The CKEditor offers full accessibility functionality, its fast loading and has awesome AJAX capabilities.
- Future Development and Maintenance. CKEditor is described as “the text editor for the internet”, it is maintained by a dedicated team of developers and as they continue improving and offering great new features the vBulletin customers will reap great benefits.

Auto-Save
Now when you start typing a new bit of content in, be it a post or blog entry, vbulletin will automatically save your message every 30 seconds (currently) to a special database table.
If you happen to experience a browser crash all you need to do is hit the "Restore Auto-Save" button and your message should come back.
Dont like it?
You can currently disable the new editor by going to http://www.edugeek.net/profile.php?do=editoptions and selecting "Basic Editor" at the bottom of the page
I am looking into options of having the old and new editor but its not something vbulletin support yet.
Any Problems?
I would recommend you clear your browsers cache first initially as there were reports of some having caching issues which causes the editor not to appear.
Also if you hit the first button on the editor toolbar (looks like a/A) it allows you to read the source of the post
