    Smoothwall brought to BETT 2010 for its official release the SWG-1200 series of its “Guardian” web filtering family appliances.

    The SWG-1200 is available for education customers that need a higher performance than the existing SWG-700.

    Accredited by BECTA the filtering technology that was one of the first to block flash based games already provides thousands of schools with state of the art filtering.

    Smoothwall product manager Tom Newton says: “The addition of the SWG-1200 means we can offer dedicated and reliable hardware-based appliance to more sizeable schools with much more complex network needs.”
