This is lovely vbulletin bug they still have not been able to fix where the cache for the CMS is not regularly purged properly, I have kicked it into touch again though.

@aerospacemango if your rom is hard baked to save power and close background tasks then you wont get notifications, hopefully later versions will be able to use googles push service (similar to iOS) which means that task doesn't need to run.

Edit: no just a mobile style.

Apps looking great, just one minor niggle (I apologise if this has already been covered):

      [I'm using Android BTW]
When you open a notification to read a thread, there doesn't appear to be any way to get to any other part of the app, you're stuck in that thread alone. It'd be nice if there was a home button or something similar.

Minor niggle over, congrats on the great work!

Well, my phone was being weird this morning generally so I restarted it and the notifications are no longer appearing.

I'm not an expert*, but this could be a tapatalk problem. I suffer the same problem with the XDA app....once you hit the notification, there's no way back!

      * I may, in fact, be an idiot, and have missed something, so if anyone knows any different, I'd be glad of the knowledge!

Yeah I don't use any other tapatalk apps so im afraid I don't know which are EG issues and which are tapatalk!

Nexus 7 tap a talk tab beta works fine with notifications apart from the beta related crashes it's very persistent. Despite the lacklustre state of the nexus 7.

Yeah I noticed that, I was looking for ages for a piece of the standard HUI which seems to be making appearances these days. Needs a home button or similar, or the back button should bring you back to the home rather than out of the app completely

I press the back button and it goes back, not out of the app. Nexus7.

Depends, if you click on a notification then it doesn't and you have to reopen the app to get to anything other than the current thread. I'm on nexus as well :-)

Just a FYI, a new update version will be coming soon for both iOS and Android which has an updated style and various bug fixes.
I decided not to hault the older, just approved iOS version to allow you to get the app sooner rather then wait for apple to approve the new version.

I know that, we used to use them. But that kind of stuff requires a login. The general public won't be able to access that stuff.

Yeah, we had the Red's in waiting for our second Synology NAS - we have 8 of them in a DS2413+ at the minute and very impressed.
