• Site Changes: Threads are marked as read when you view them or the threads forum

Due to the recent changes in thread marking having a very love/hate response we shall test the third and final way vBulletin offers to deal with thread marking.
The new mode should mark threads inside a forum as read after you view the list and then time out, this should allow threads to be cleared out faster and doesnt come with the cookie issue of the old system although this option is the least used.

Post your feedback here, we will run a poll to see what comes out as the most popular.

I don't know if it's related, but threads I'm subscribed to no longer seem to show up in the "What's New" searches... please feel free to correct me if this is a topic already covered elsewhere, but I don't recall it acting that way since v5 launched, only today.

They do show up but were marked as read as soon as you read them rather then timing out like before. Also due to the volume of posts your subscribed topics can be pushed through the pages.
I am working on some improvements.

      Is that a hint

Makes sense though. This may be my preferred because when there's an 8 page "what's new" I lose even more time in the morning catching up on what has been happening. 2 pages means I get to working much quicker. Mostly.

Time spent on Edugeek is professional development time

(At least that's what I told my boss when he presented me with the internet activity logs )

Doesn't seem to be working for me - looked at the forum last night and threads that I read are read, threads that I didn't are still unread :/

    Bitlocker within OSD

I think I got a step nearer today - I managed to start bitlocker entirely from the command line. If I can make the same commands work in a TS I'm laughing.

How do you manage Java Updates? We have a Dell KACE appliance, but I am constantly told it can't be done automagically and must be a manually process.
