Of the 4 schools some are more of a priority then others to migrate. This is mostly due to servers that need replacing, or because of the number of new PCs being added to the network means that W7 needs to be implemented sooner rather than later.
As for the servers I am still switching back and forth on either going over to Server 2K8 or sticking with W2K3, as it can support W7 GPOs via a RSAT on a W7 machine. Sticking with W2K3 would make the roll out quick and easier in the
Well the time has come to go down the road that is Windows 7. After many years of managing XP based machines I feel that I am ready to dive into the murky water that is migration. Thanks to the wonder of Microsoft’s EES agreement, I am know in a position to go from W2K3 servers with XP/Office 2K3 clients to W2K8 servers and W7/Office 2K10 clients. Well if you are going to change something, might as well be everything.
