Small Basic Application with Mandatory Profiles

by kevin_lane on 21st November 2013 at 01:53 PM
This blog is to help people with problems with small basic

when installing small basic as admin and all is fine you run the program test it out and it works brilliant I thought...NO! I'm wrong, as when you are logged in as a pupil and start to code it runs fine until you save the project and then you get a nice error about access denied.

I thought that it could be an issue with group policy, so I move the user up and up the directory structure and tested and every

Disable Office 2010 Grammar & Spell Checker

by kevin_lane on 17th May 2012 at 04:41 PM
Not sure where to start really but Iím just so glad that itís over and hopefully other people can benefit from this. The fix will work on a Windows XP and Windows 7.
In order to disable office 2010 Iíve applied these settingsPolicy.docx in group policy. It might be best to create an OU separate from the rest of the AD structure and have a block inheritance on it so you can test.

by kevin_lane on 15th May 2012 at 05:39 PM

Windows 7 Exam

by kevin_lane on 17th June 2011 at 06:01 PM
well what can i say

I hate Microsoft unfortunately this is my 3rd attempted at my windows 7 70-680 exam and i got yet again a score of 646. I feel like Iím on one of them marathons where you "hit the wall". for the people are about to take the windows 7 exam donít take it lightly donít think it will be the same as the xp one because if you go into thinking that then you might as well put your money down the drain because it is hard and Iím not ashamed to admit that.
