Can I just scream? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
By all means use latin in speech but can you PLEASE spell correctly...
It is PER SE, not PER SAY
I know - pedantic to the max
A friend got quite annoyed because every time someone would say PER SE, he thought they were extracting the urine from his name .... Percy.
Is that latin or Latin?
(Now that's pedantic to the max).
Dead language ... who cares!
I've got a book on how to swear/insult people in Latin. You could get something similar and mumble something appropriate every time they do it.
The one that gets me is ect.
Little childrne can get it wrong, but adults working in schools should not! et cetera - two words - one abbreviation - etc (or etc. if you really want to be pedantic)
Not Latin, but in the same vein, it really gets my goat when people write "on route" or "on mass."
I'm a big fan of Q.E.D.. People don't appreciate the sentiment of the phrase.
edit: extra prize for spotting the second error in that sentence: "Little childrne can get it wrong, but adults working in schools should not! "
Just being pedantic like
