Hi Guys
Just wondering when we will be getting access to enterprise console 5. Frankly im sick of having to reboot the servers whenever sophos stops updating haha =-)
I understand the web filtering or something inside ec5 is causing concern etc so was just looking for an update on when we will be getting the download.
Thanks!

If you email support at yhgfl, we can make EC5 available to you individually if you wish.

23rd March 2012, 07:35 PM #4 Is the latest v10 of Sophos any less resource hungry, using 9.7 and it kills pc performance at start up while dones its jobs updating and scanning i presume. When can we go to 10, as we only use the av part of sophos, will the bits causing concern affect us?

23rd March 2012, 07:43 PM #5 I haven't noticed an issue with V10. But I'm running it on a i7 vPro with 16GB of RAM and servers at the moment. I've yet to really attempt it on a terribly slow computer. Be pushing it to 21,000+ clients soon enough, I'll let you know.

26th March 2012, 08:47 AM #6 I havent had any issues thus far with EC5 - was very ginger with it in the beginning but since i deployed it at one school im planning on pushing it out at my remaining schools.
It seems the web blocking feature is an optional thing, i havent enabled it and had no issues with it so far, another school nearby me reported issues with it enabling itself and the firewall stopping logons but thus far i havent experienced this.
Also you can push version 10 from ec 4.7 - just change the subscription and itll get the new binaries.
