You do currently have different different settings on admin and curriculum ranges as default. Staff have a staff level of access which is quite high, where curriculum ranges are defaulted to the level of the school.

There are no specific levels for technical, but if you speak to CYPS they should be able to advise you on what is available.

As standard, this is all set by IP address here at yhgfl, but logins are available to change on an individual basis.

Ah OK. I don't have differing ranges for curriculum and administration - perhaps I should.

Well, we certainly have our systems set up here to facilitate that. Most of our filtering is based upon source IP address. Depending on which IP address the request comes from determines which content filtering caste box your request is directed to. If you currently have everything going from the same range, there will be no difference in "naughtiness" limits from any boxes. Also, from any machine you should be able to go to http://login.yhgfl.net and escalate your privileges. Your LA will have a list of usernames and passwords that will allow you to jump around the caste boxes from Primary to Unfiltered for that particular browsing session. There is a bit of a better explanation on our public wiki at FilteringAndSecurity < YHPublic < TWiki

I'm sure you are aware which ranges you have allocated to curriculum and admin, if you aren't, your LA will have it and we certainly have the detail should you need it.

    Regards,

    Andrew
