With the amount of schools going up in smoke, and the vast amounts of unused bandwidth at night, I think most schools would jump at the chance of a secure backup storage area.
It is actually a service that we are going to be offering in the near future. We are currently trying to set up a pilot in conjunction with Calderdale, using a couple of their schools, and probably Attix5 technology (from Redstor). The idea is that we would back data up centrally to our data centre in Wakefield and then probably mirror that to our site in Scunthorpe like we do with our own data. Depending on the cost, we may even use some of Redstor's capacity in their data centre. The beauty of the Attix 5 solution is that it is one of I think only two solutions in the UK that is capable of backing up Capita SIMS data correctly.
