Deploying PaperCut to the network
I'm trying to get printing costs under control and so have got PaperCut on trial as it seems very popular.
I've got the server side running no problem, all users and printers are setup just fine to start with, but I want to get the client side program pushed out silently for all teaching staff and I can' figure out how to do it.
I've tried putting "cmd /c "start \\servername\PCClient\win\pc-client-local-cache.exe --silent"" in the GPo of UserConfig -> Admin -> System ->Logon - >Run these programs at user logon, but it then displays the full install prompts and asks for credentials. This might be ok for the teachers but certainly not for when we deploy it for the kids.
How does everyone else do this and am I just being thick as usual in deploying this?
