Strange issue with home PC internet
I've got a PC at home that's my cousin's (in for repair) that usually hooks up to the internet via AOHell, but while i'm repairing it it's connecting via my cheapo router using a cat5 cable. The problem is that while web browsing works OK in both IE and firefox, the PC can't connect and download definition updates from AVG, Lavasoft (adaware) or download google apps/google earth. Sometimes it also tries to connect via the broadband DUN connection, but that of course doesn't work. There's no proxy configured, but it won't connect to certain sites through the LAN link.
Is there an easy way of temporarily sorting this? Or will all the updates have to wait untill i return it and hook it back up to AOL?
