port forwarding problem
I have a cctv dvr which has the following changable settings in it's network settings:-
I can access the dvr from any machine within the network by typing in it's IP but I can't get remote access to work from outside the network.
I have port forwarded 37777 to 192.168.1.211 in the router inbound firewall settings but this didn't work so I turned on dmz to 192.168.1.211 but still couldn't remotely access the dvr?
Have you any other port forwards on
I have had problems when port forwarding from one port to another
eg port 37777 outside to port 80 inside.
Can you change the internal one to port 37777 .
This is usually the fix for this on my system.
Do you mean change http port 80 to 37777 within the dvr's network settings?
I would try setting it to a lower port number like 100 or 150 as your routers firmware may not be able to properly handle the higher port numbers when it comes to port forwarding.
