DHCP Exclusion / not in scope
With the new domain plan taking shape I was asked by my manager today if i know what the difference between a 1-254 scope with everything over 100 EXCLUDED
Creating a scope from 1-100 and leaving the rest out of scope (and therefore static)
I put it down to it being documented (showing in DHCP) if it is excluded. And its just ..... "Unknown" if its not in the exclusion..
Can anyone tell me if they know any different to what is above. is there any advantage to excisions?
