Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
We are currently trying to add a few trusted sites via GP so that the kids can download files (we currently disallow file downloads). We want to add the DIDA site for example.
I have tried this from Microsoft
http://support.microsoft.com/default...en-us%3B816703
But it does not seem to make a difference, anyone know of a way to added trusted sites for users?
Re: Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
I thought trusted sites only worked with regards to letting the sites install plugins and stuff?
Re: Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
If you goto Internet Options, Security and then Trusted Sites you can change the security settings, to different levels and change certain settings.
Just need to know if it can be done via GPO
Re: Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
Anyone?
Anyone know if there is another way of implmenting this? We don't want the kids downloading at all expect for a few sites we choose.
Re: Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
Filter it at your webproxy? For example Dansguardian makes this fairly trivial with its extension and mime type blocking. You can then just whitelist the sites you allow them to download from.
Re: Trusted Sites via Group Policies?
Thanks for the tip Geoff, but I think I've found it, its in an GP called "Site to Zone Assignment List", just having a little test now.
Thanks.
