When we need to setup our wireless network we tried a ton of diffrent companys. Even looked a meraki. Although the cloud controller was nice. That was about it.
When you do a spectrum analysis of ruckus radios vs meraki you will see a big diffrence as far as how they perform. When you start doing throughput test and connection tests you will see Ruckus will always come on top.
Ruckus management, although it does not have as nice eyecandy as meraki, it is easy to use. I have 2 ZD3000 controllers setup up in redundancy mode and manage 120 access points.
Ruckus also has the option to give out dynamic dspks that register to the mac of the machine they are activated on. So it is very secure from the clients prospective and very easy to add a client on the wireless. This way you dont have 1 single key that can get hacked. You would have to get the key and the mac from the same computer. The controller also ties in to AD and ldap. It really is easy to use.
I would go Ruckus hands down all over again. HOWEVER, for point to point links, you can not beat UBIQUITI. Ruckus doesnt even beat them for that. Price per performance is crazy, and its rock solid.
FYI, Ruckus support is very very quick and replacement on an ap, if you need it, is very very quick too.
Ubiquiti and Ruckus are the top performers for there field. Dont believe me do spectrum anaylisis and iperf tests and you will see.
