Hey ppl, I'm installing the AP300(320i) in our district. I ordered Cisco 2960 PoE switches and all is well except when I patch the AP's in only the 'Pwr', 'Stat' and 'Lan' lights come on on the APs. The 'RF1' and 'RF2' lights do not come on??? and on top of it all this doesn't happen to all APs..??? Some have all the lights turned on. I thought it was my wireing but I bypassed that by patching in a different(new) Meru AP right into the switch port and still no 'RF1' and 'RF2'..?? do I need to configure something on the switch end or controller end? I did the 'sh power inline' command and I get...
Power(Watts) = 15.4 <--per device/port
Admin = auto
Oper. = On
Device = TeeePD
Max. = 30.0
PS. I'm also noticing switch alerts of 'down/up' on certain ports. Not sure if this is related or not.
any help on this is appreciated.

28th June 2012, 03:38 PM #2 get the 2960 pushing loggs to syslog (kiwi free) and see what it's doing.
Have you got an MCxxxx to control the AP's? can it see them?

28th June 2012, 04:07 PM #3 thx for the reply, I have not messed with the controller as I'm not sure what I'm doing. We hired a vendor to come in once the wireing and AP installs are done to configure the controller. I will setup logging as u mentioned and post back with the results.

28th June 2012, 06:39 PM #5 It does sound more like a config issues with Meru than cisco if the dev's are powering up ok.

28th June 2012, 09:32 PM #6 @techie211:
Have you set the cisco switches on static IP's and have you been into the setup express via your web browser and configured the smartports?
As default STP is configured on all ports so it may have something to do with this as to why ports are constantly up then down.
Its just a thought
