Anyone else running an Aruba wireless switch and Access Points ?
If so - what are your experiences ? Specially with the 3954ABG Intel Pro Set chipset.

I did notice that the Pro Set software icon is still in the system tray after someone logs on and can be messed around with.
Before I go hunting in the policies, can someone let me know if there is one to hide it, or if there is a way to stop users messing - as they can choose the option to let the windows software maintain the wireless config !! AAAGHHH.
pretty sure if you rebuild the default profile after setting to hide the icon it'll stay hidden. I know it doesn't show up on any of my images Dell D620s regardless of staff/student login.

    Re: Wireless logging on

There is a setting to hide the icon ? I have not found that yet - I had better check it out...
Been reading up this evening about SSO - single sign on - not much documentation on that in the manuals so trying to work out how this would be better than a pre logon connection.... reading up on them ( what I can find ) it states they are related in some way - what way is something I am still trying to work out...On my last check there is SSO, PLC and also persistent connections.... At least I can get clients to connect, I want to improve the performance though..
Also going to try turning off power save polling to see if that makes any difference.

Thanks for all the advice given so far btw - apprecaite it.
