    Wired and Wireless communication

My school has two networks, curriculum and admin.

The curriculum network is on 172.21.56.xxx and the admin is on 172.21.57.xx

The majority of workstations on the admin network are connected wirelessly. I have both an ethernet card and a wireless card in my laptop, and they are both connected, wired to the curriculum network and wireless to the admin network.

For some reason, I cannot connect to anything on the admin network, not by IP, not by hostname, nothing, yet I can access the internet via the wireless connection.

All the laptops on the wireless have a VNC server installed, and I want to be able to connect to any machine wired or wireless from the same laptop, yet for some reason, the only access I can gain is to machines on the wired curriculum network.

What am I doing wrong, have I missed something?!

    Driving me bloomin bonkers!

    Re: Wired and Wireless communication

I would think that the problem lies in your default gateway being for the wired network, i think you need to configure a static route to the gateway to the wireless. Use This page to see how.

    Re: Wired and Wireless communication

I didnt think of that.. its always the obvious stuff that avoids me.

On the note of the wireless, I've posted a topic on ANOTHER problem with the stupid wireless AP's.
