    Missing default gateway

    Morning All
    Ive come into School this am to find my client pc's in our IT suite have lost the default gateway and sophos hasnt updated.
    Dhcp service is running ok but when ive just rebooted pc's and still no default gateway but i can launch cmd and ping to the address no problem
    Server 2003 in school with xp sp3 clients

    Is DHCP definitely setting the gateway ip?
    I would try clearing a PC's dhcp record out and see if the gateway comes back then.

    I tried ip config release / renew and it brings up an ip and subnet but gateway ... !!

    I would def try clearing the dhcp entry on the server as well as I have seen times when this have not reset correctly.
    I am trying to find the dhcp sniffer tool I used to use....

    Would you recommend i delete the scope thats on the server and re enter etc ? Sorry if that sounds vague im trying to fix someones tampering !! in my absence

    shouldnt need to delete the scope just add option 003 router with the correct value
