Got the tosh drivers in and now got
    1677.1.709.2009 as version number

where as the version I had in orig was
    1678.0.1019.2009

which doesn't look like an improvement and I have no more options than before.

(I think it looks like each manufacturer tells realtek what features to enable on their version of the driver )

Sorry mate. It looks like its time to push samsung for drivers now as you've gone as far as you can with drivers you can find (you've done it to death in fact).

    Nope,

Basically i am fed up with the wireless on these N130's and made a call to them. More people that ring in hopefully more will be done. The guy from Samsung did say that there were other calls.

Well - rang up and recommended to update bios and chipset drivers as well.

So will give that a go as you have to go through their hoops - you never know - it might actually work.

Unfortunatley - twice - just before I was going to get a ref number - the phone line dropped - I can accept once as unfortunate - but twice???

(At least I got a customer ref number on the 2nd call!)

Also - has to explain that the ones I have have realtek wireless and not atheros - he didn't believe me until he'd gone away and "checked witha supervisor"

    What a game

Unlike james - no sign of any recognition of an issue

    regards

    Simon

    Hows this for a laugh.

back in the school taoday -started downloading all the drivers to do a omcplete replacement and noticed that Mr Samsung had put out a new version of the wireless drivers on 16March!!!

You'd think some one would have told the tech support this on Monday when I rang them up!!!

    Latest version is

    1680.4.0307.2010

I'm going to try this out before trying the global replacement they suggested!

    regards

How entirely daft.. i hate first line support.. call centres are always frustrating. There are some thats the exception where you actually get someone who know what they are talking about but often you get some pleb who's as useful as a chocolate tea pot (as my boss would say).

Hope they new set of drivers works.

Right - the new drivers come with one of those wishy washy wireless config thingies - so I'm installing that as well and we'll see what happens.

Still have no adjustment of roaming aggresssiveness or anything but fingers crossed!

    regards
    Simon
