    Linksys Wireless connection issue

Just added a Linksys Wireless WAP54G Access Point to our network on a static IP address to give wireless access to notebooks in a Science Room.

Set up the security etc and tried to connect to it. Going into the Wireless Connection setting and setting the IP to that of the static Linksys box, 255 etc for Alt, the Default Gateway to the network one and the DNS to that of the DNS server.

It's now coming up as connected but won't allow access to the Network or Internet; do I need to put the SWGfL proxy setting in somewhere - if so where would it go?

your post sounds to me like you are setting the same IP on the AP as the Client. the clients should just pick up your dhcp server after you have connected the client to the AP

The only reasons you need an IP on the AP is for ease of management the AP itself should not need gateway and dns because all it does is act as a network hub.

Sorry if I have misunderstood your post
