Ruckus problem
Hi this is my first post on the forum so please bear with me.
Can anyone help with this issue. I have a Ruckus demo set consisting of ruckus ZD1006 and AP's ZF2942 and have an issue trying to setup. I'm using Windows server 2008 for DHCP and have the Zd & AP devices connected to a Netgear switch which is connected to our Cisco switch. When connecting the AP's I get following error message on ZD. Fail to upgrade AP[00:22:7f:02:67:60] image from [7.0.0.0.61] to [7.1.0.0.56], may due to incorrect IP on AP.
Now the AP's have got the DHCP addresses (well the server has leased them) but the devices do not seem to be talking. The loan kit is from Net-CTL and their tech guys seem to think the Cisco switch is blocking the communication. I originally set the kit up on the Cisco ports, but tried connecting via the Netgear switch, thinking that would'nt block anything. Has anyone encountered this?

Yes made no difference. The AP's seem to have IP addresses, well they appear in the config menu, but cannot ping the AP's, can ping the ZD

Thanks. Think the original setup had the ZD at V8 and AP's at v7.0, so I was advised to downgrade the ZD to V7.1 first, then the AP's would upgrade to V7.1, then we could upgrade to V8.

All sorted now. Seems we had an incorrect subnet mask on the DHCP server. Did'nt notice it as the windows PC's seemed to cope ok, but not the communication between the boxes. One to note for the future. Anyway thanks to Robert at Net-Ctrl the eval kit is up & running so let the trial begin.
