Tell me about it - all my email gets pushed to my gmail account. I'm in techno-limbo.

You're right, it is definitely down!
Was just about to moan to our cachebox guy...
Grr... Come back Google!!
Google Apps email also down, not sure about Pro accounts tho.
Sky E-Mail is as well. That runs through Google Mail.
Grrrr.

Yep, the whole world has noticed: gmail - Twitter Search.
I wonder how many schools rely on Google Apps for their email? This highlights the potential problems for centrally-managed IT services under BSF. Once you remove the essential services away from the school, you vastly increase the number of points-of-failure; from anywhere on the WAN right down to individual servers or network devices at the chosen data centre. But it won't just affect one school - it will affect all schools.
Is that because cloud computing is load of tosh ?![]()
It's down!! but the first time in about 15 months that I can recall!! Once in 15 months is not bad!!

All my email runs through gmail!
COME BACK GOOGLE
please
Maybe this is a new 'feature' to cloud computing that we have not heard about......

You can probably tell from my recent blog post ( rm-charlton.net ) that I'm a bit of a Google-fanboy... my world has fallen apart!!!!!!!!!
Just shows what a risky strategy it is trusting everything to a faceless entity somewhere out in the ether... it's a good reality check for some people getting far too carried away with the cloud model imo

Looks like GMail's IMAP connection is working.
I can get lot of the old emails as I have offline mode enabled
