This is Google's latest major outage. In October Gmail was out of action for more than a day, much to the chagrin of its users.

So technically is not official, IMAP and SMTP is still working, it's just web mail that's not working. Just proves how many of use check our email at work

Cannot remember that one!! Unless it occurred during a half-term when the teachers/staff did not bother to use it their email!!

It appears that google mail is back (at least for my google apps account) the webmail seems to be working fine now
