Got a problem on hust a few PC's.
When the user logs in it fails to map their home drive. Sometimes if they log out and back in or restart then they can map.
Have tried changing card settings, repacing patch cables etc. but seems to make no diffeence.
Getting to be a bit of a
problem

29th January 2009, 11:49 AM #2 you can use Group Policy to set this at the domain or appropriate OU
level:
Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon\
Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon

We have had this on a few machines in the past.
I think we have a clear command that was run at the same time as the mappings.
Depending which one came first, was how it resulted.
So if it mapped before the clear command obviously, it would clear the mappings and the students wouldn't get a homedrive.

29th January 2009, 11:50 AM #4 Have you tried setting these options in GPO:
Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon :
- Always wait for the network at computer start up and logon
- Run Logon Scripts Synchronously - Enable this policy to require that scripts must finish processing before XP displays the user interface.
Edit: Looks like Domino beat me to one of those
