    DNS scavenging

Right. I noticed that the DC at one of my schools does not have DNS Scavenging turned on. There are loads of duplicate records that are causing problem but after turning scavenging on, I can't seem to get it to actually do anything.

I followed these steps from another thread:

Then, expand the Forward lookup zones folder, then expand your domain.internal entry. Right click that and choose properties. Press Ageing. Check the box marked "Scavenge stale resource records". Post the no-refresh and refresh intervals here so we can make sure they're okay. For reference, mine are 3 days and 4 days respectively.

Finally, right click the server icon again and choose Set Ageing and Scavenging for all zones. For some reason that excludes the forward lookup zone, at least, it only modified the reverse lookup zones for us. Again, tick the box marked "Scavenge stale resource records" and post your no-refresh and refresh intervals here.
If I force a scavenge and then look at the event log I see that it didn't visit any nodes.

I noticed that when I set the scavenging age on the server it asked me if I wanted to apply the settings to all AD integrated zones, which I said yes to. But neither forward or reverse zones were updated. They are set to be AD integrated.

Any help on what else to do much welcomed.

Ok so got a bit further by turning on the advanced view

Anyway, it now tells me I can't scavenge until the 25th Nov.
How can you start a manual scavenge before that?

Is that time set by the refresh time? (cant test it out at the moment).
