External access to Sharepoint using AOL browser

Have set up external access to Sharepoint and home folders which staff love but there is one fly in the ointment. A member of slt is using AOL and it does not work, anyone got any ideas on this. My only thought is to tell him to use IE for Sharepoint.

    I agree with that thought

It won't be easy making sharepoint work with AOL.

Trying to get sharepoint working with anything other than IE is awkward for certain webparts so it might be advisable for your teacher to use Ie anyway.

It shouldn't come as any surprise, really - an MS web-based product only working on MS browsers...

Isn't the AOL browser based on IE anyway? IIRC, they moved from Netscape to MS in 2003ish...

MS say about the 2007 version... "
The good news here is that we have significantly improved SharePoint's cross-browser support in the new release compared to the current 2003 release. Web browser support is divided into two levels: level 1 and level 2. Although administrative tasks on SharePoint sites are optimized for level 1 browsers, Office SharePoint Server 2007 also provides support for other browsers that are commonly used. To ensure that you have complete access to all the functionality, we recommend that you use a level 1 browser for administrative tasks. We've also been documenting where our features behave differently in Level 2 browsers, so customers can better understand what to expect when we release the new version. While subject to change before we ship, the current Level 2 web browsers are:
    Windows
    Firefox 1.5+
    Netscape 8.1+
    Mozilla 1.7+
    Macintosh
    Safari 2.0+
    Firefox 1.5+
    Unix/Linux
    Firefox 1.5+
    Netscape 7.2+"
