I think if you restrict access to the C drive it will cure it.

I don't think that's a solution, FN-GM.
We've had that problem for years. I wouldn't call it a problem because they can only see other area and not actually do anything with them.
I think originally I posted it on here and people told me it was one of those things that happens and can't really be resolved so I've just lived with it.
This is, of course, assuming that the OP meant a redirected Start Menu, as is our setup. Restricting access to C: would work if it was local, I should expect.
I fixed this a while back.
To solve this I have a script that copies the start menu items to the C drive of the local machine at start up and then the group policy points at the folder on the C drive. If your other polices are set correctly it works like a dream.
