Hi
We currently have a 3Com Managed wireless solution in place at the school. It is approximately 3 years old and we have an issue regarding Windows Vista. When you try and connect to it with a Vista laptop, you can type in the network key, and all it does it keep constantly trying to "acquire an network address". Eventually it gives up and I just get the "automatic" connection result.
The Switches are WX1200's (we have three)
Any idea why they will not connect?

29th September 2008, 05:46 PM #2 I'm sure this issue is resolved somewhere.. IIRC it was something to do with a mix of BIOS, WLAN adaptor drivers and Vista have a different approach to authentication..
I'm pretty sure if you do a search on Vista, wireless, problem you'll find some of the original discussions.

I run a wx4400 & I had the same problem last fall of '07. IIRC, I simply installed the latest firmware on the WX & Vista problems went away. HTH. -John
