IP addresses dropping out.
Could anyone explain why an IP address suddenly drops out.
The address in question has a printer on it. One minute it was working next nothing.
Try to connect with it via IE and nothing.
Try pinging it and constantly times out.
Cancel this I think I found the error.
It seems the Network card in the printer is not working.

Prints should have a fixed ip address or a reservation in the dhcp. If its not fixed it could receive a different ip from the dhcp server when it expires. This happens a lot after holidays.
The other thing is it might be a swich is faulty or being turned off like I had at one school to plug a fan in.
