Trunking 2 x Netgear GS748T switches

Can anyone help me with setting up trunking with 2 Netgear GS748T switches?

They have different firmware versions, would this make a difference?

I have these linked by fiber for my backbone. I would strongly suggest that you ensure they are on the same firmware before setting up VLANs (I think this is what you are doing, yes?).
Also note that there are different versions of this switch, v1, v2 and v3. The firmware is not interchangeable between versions.

DOS_Box - So, if these 2 switches have the same firmware, but are different versions, would you still be able to trunk them?

Have you trunked the 2 switches or just linked them via fiber? How do you go about trunking the two switches?

Can you possibly walk me through the process please?

I have not set up VLANs on them, simply linked them up. I thankfully only have a small number of computers to watch over.
