I’ve been asked to install the BBC iPlayer for the after school club. Are there any issues with this with regard to peer to peer networking as used by iPlayer?

I didn't realise you had to install anything to use this? I used it at home a few weeks ago and didn't have to install anything but I could be wrong.
I think iPlayer uses the Kontiki peer-to-peer application. When I tried the beta version at school it didn't work. Haven't tried the latest version. I think this only applys to downloading content, as using the streaming flash player works fine.

If you just want access to the streams, then no, you don't need to. If you want to actually download programs, then you need to install the iplayer.

Do you need iplayer or can you get away with the flash based version?
Russ

Id go flash based. Otherwise you will end up with loads of videos on the system which misteriously disappear 14days later, obviously resulting in "what have you done with my eastenders series collection"
How do I choose the flash based version? Is there a setting for this?
Goto the iPlayer website and browse to the program / episode you want.
The video will be at the top of the page. Just click to play.
