    Default Profiles - Sysprep

I'm bringing three refurbed PC's onto our network I have one almost ready to Sysprep but trying to copy the Admin profile over the Default seems to result in the new users picking up the Admin folder and rights. How do correct this; can someone point me toward an answer please.

Create a new User for setting up the default profile don't use the Admin account.

Thanks for that - but once the new user account has been set up how do I change the default folder path so the new new user isn't trying to overwrite the old new user?

You also need a hotfix to stop windows overwriting the default user profile with the administrator profile when sysprep is run. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/887816

Edit: How are you copying the profiles? With the gui or the folders?

Actually my users have mandatory profiles so it's not really relevant, I copy mine to servers and it's loaded at logon.

All I do is create a new user and configure the settings, then copy the profile over the Default User. After that I trim a few items from the folders (shortcuts and such go in All users instead). If you are redirecting my documents with group policy to the users home folder then it will overwrite the path stored in the default users profile.

An example from the eventlog when a user logs in:

Successfully redirected folder My Documents. The folder was redirected from <\\morpheus\students$\07\test07> to <\\morpheus\students$\06\a10000>

Also make sure to copy and paste shortcuts and items when moving between all users / default / normal users etc to make sure the security settings are inherited. When moving files on the same volume permissions are retained.
